Members of the Crossroads Project Team travel around the country to facilitate professional development, from informal roundtable discussions to structured talks, workshops, trainings and technical assistance with people of all ages and backgrounds. "Beginner's Guide to Community-Based Arts: The Basics" = 1 hour

A general introduction to the Beginner's Guide designed to help learners at all levels understand and begin to implement the basic processes of community development through the arts. The presentation includes extensive visual, audio and Web references. Audiences: general, teens to adults

"The CRAFT of Community-Based Arts" = 90 minutes to 2 hours

An advanced introduction for artists, educators and administrators in all community-building fields (health, human services, criminal justice, youth development, etc). It consists of a presentation followed by a sample interactive exercise from the Beginner's Guide. Participants learn a new social change methodology ("CRAFT") and gain an overview of the use of Beginner's Guide as a resource in postsecondary, secondary and community learning environments. Audiences: community-builders of all ages. Participants do not need to read the book in advance.

"Beginner's Guide 2.0 - Beyond the Book" = 2 days

An in-depth intensive designed for existing networks of community builders either currently engaged in community-based arts projects or planning them. Day One consists of a general look at the Guide, its antecedents and origins; Day Two focuses on application of the Guide in specific community environments. Participants develop strategies for program design, fundraising, evaluation and planning; while they build stronger, more sustainable collaborative learning relationships with local colleagues.

Please note: this curriculum has been particularly successful in mixed groups with a wide range of participants (children, adults, professionals, parents, etc.).

Other formats: brown bag lunches, organizational and community meetings, conference panels, keynote talks

Standard Public Event Fee: $500-1,000 per day, per presenter, plus expenses
